Popular television couple Prince Narula and Yuvika Chaudhary have won Nach Baliye 9. The grand finale episode that was shot on Tuesday will air today. Anita Hassanandani-Rohit Reddy and Vishal Aditya Singh-Madhurima Tuli were announced as the first and second runner-up, respectively.
Shared a source with indianexpress.com, “Shantanu Maheshwari-Nityaami Shirke were the first ones to get eliminated from the top five. They were followed by Aly Goni-Natasa Stankovic. In the end, Prince-Yuvika and Anita-Rohit were on stage for the final announcement. Given their journey on Nach Baliye 9, it was surprising when Prince and Yuvika were announced as the winner. However, it’s a voting reality show and fans’ love definitely makes a difference.”
Prince Narula and Yuvika Chaudhary met on Bigg Boss 9. While Prince instantly fell in love with her, Yuvika took her own sweet time to finally say yes. The two got married in October 2018. Their journey on Nach Baliye 9 started on a sad note. On the day of their first performance, Prince got to know that his brother had passed away in an accident in Canada.
Recently, as a way to celebrate their anniversary, the team played a prank where they announced that the contestants have voted them out. While it had left the couple shocked, the next week, they pulled a trick back on the contestants by faking their exit from the competition. Time and again, PriVika, as the couple is lovingly called, was accused of playing the sympathy card. Last week, when Hina Khan had graced the show as a special guest, she also questioned them on why they keep talking about their issues on the stage.
Prince had then replied, “As a kid, we always tend to approach our parents for sharing each and everything, whether it is about any problem or about any incident. Likewise, we consider our judges as our parents and we will definitely share our problems with them, If anyone considers it as a strategy to gain sympathy then we have no words.”
Co-produced by Salman Khan, Nach Baliye 9 had Raveena Tandon and Ahmed Khan as the judges, while Maniesh Paul and Waluscha De Sousa were the hosts. This season has received a lot of flak since its premiere. Be it the format of having exes participating or the show running more on drama than dance, Nach Baliye 9 clearly did not match up to the popularity of its previous seasons.
