After quitting Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Hina Khan signs Chandrakanta?
According to reports, Hina Khan aka Akshara from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, might return to television while playing the title role in Colors channel's upcoming series Chandrakanta.

Many hearts broke when actor Hina Khan aka Akshara announced her exit from popular daily soap Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. But her fans might get some happiness. If reports are to be believed, there are talks that Hina will be seen playing the lead role in Color’s upcoming series Chandrakanta, which is being made under the banner of Balaji Telefilm.
Chandrakanta is the adaptation of the famous novel Chandrakanta, which inspired a TV series by the same name, on Doordarshan in the 1990s. When asked about the reports concerning her casting on the show, Hina put a no comments reply. “I don’t want to comment on this right now,” the actor told indianexpress.com.

In a recent interview, Hina had said that she was looking forward to having a good break considering she worked on Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai for seven years. So, it will be interesting to see if the actor will ditch her break for Chandrakanta. Given a thought, it’s actually not a bad option. First of all, the show is riding high on nostalgia for almost every 90’s kid. Secondly, it is being helmed by the biggest television production house, Balaji.
From Rajan Shahi, the producer of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai to Ekta Kapoor, it would be a great professional jump for Hina. Also, after becoming a household name by playing lead character Akshara, the titular role in Chandrakanta is a great opportunity for her.

Chandrakanta will be aired on Colors and the actor has seemingly already struck a rapport with the channel as she was seen on the Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 10, supporting her friend Rohan Mehra, who is a contestant on the show.
More from the world of Entertainment:
Meanwhile, another channel Life OK, is also gearing up with its own adaptation of Chandrakanta. It is being produced by Nikhil Sinha, who earlier helmed popular mythological series Siya Ke Ram.
Interestingly, both Life OK and Colors announced their versions the same day, with their respective trailers. While the details on both the shows are kept under wraps, we wait is to see which channel brings its show first and becomes the audience’s choice.
