Exclusive| ‘History has always fascinated me,’ says Pracchand Ashok actor Adnan Khan
Adnan Khan will be seen portraying the role of Emperor Ashoka in the upcoming show Pracchand Ashok.

Actor Adnan Khan who was last seen on the TV show Kathaa Ankahee is all set to star in his first period drama. He will be starring in Balaji Telefilms produced show Pracchand Ashok, which goes on air soon and also stars actress Mallika Singh. The show’s trailer was recently released. Adnan who plays the titular role in the show recently spoke to Indianexpress.com about taking on a historical drama and how the subject always fascinated him.

Talking about preparing for historical dramas, Adnan shared, “There is always something that leads you into the heart of the character, finding that is a little tricky in the beginning. But with Ashok, it happened quite organically.”
When asked if as an actor he feels the pressure of factual representations in the show, Adnan commented, “We got a wonderful team of writers who have done a fabulous job, they get their facts right, so I am not too worried about that.”

Revealing his fascination with history, Adnan replied, “As a kid, I was not good at studies at all, but history has always fascinated me. I have been very curious about how people lived at different points in life, how their relationships were, how they spoke, and what was their thought process like. So that has been an area of interest for a long time.”
