Dipika Kakar breaks down as father-in-law calls her ‘jaan’ of Ibrahim family; celebrates birthday after cancer surgery

Aside from all the gifts, Dipika gives her audience a glimpse into her new eating habits and says, “I know that the coffee mug looks big, but I have filled it less than half. I don’t drink a lot of coffee these days, but the mug is ingrained in my habits. I also eat khakhras for my evening snack, and the house is always equipped with several different kinds.” After this the actor opens her presents for the day, and first she opens a small white box which has a ‘tree of life’ charm in it for her watch. Along with it there is a letter written by her father-in-law, and Dipika is hardly able to contain her emotions reading it.

In the letter, her father-in-law tells her to look at the tree of life whenever she feels low or sad and tells her, “Tum keval hamarai family ki jaan hi nahi, par shaan bhi ho. Tum Ibrahim parivar ki jadh ho.” (You aren’t just the life of the family; you are its pride as well. You are the root of the Ibrahim household.” We later see some more heartfelt moments of Dipika with her son and husband, as she wears the aforementioned suit on her birthday and cuts the cake as the whole family celebrates. The Sasural Simar Ka actor has gone through a lot in recent times, and the vlog shows how her family is standing right beside her on this journey to recovery.
