Darsheel Safary of Taare Zameen Par fame, is all set to essay the role of a teenager smitten by love in a new TV series Sun Yaar Try Maar.

Sun Yaar Try Maar, which shows one sided love stories that tumble and roll towards the proposal and its consequences, is aired on Bindass.

This week, Darsheel Safary, who is remembered for his portrayal of Ishaan Awasthi in Aamir Khan’s directorial debut ‘Taare Zameen Par’ (2007),  will play the role of Abhay, a young and street-smart 17-year-old boy who keeps trying to woo his childhood friend Chandni.

Talking about his character Abhay, Darsheel Safary said: “When I was narrated the story of Abhay, I instantly fell in love with the character who is both, innocent and mischievous at the same time. Like every teenager goes to any heights to prove his love, Abhay time and again attempts to impress his girl; but with that necessary comic element which brings a smile to people’s faces. I am trying this genre for the very first time, so I can’t wait for the response of audiences!”

Apart from acting in films, Darsheel Safary has worked in TV advertisements and was also seen in ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’.
