Asim Riaz reacts to Rubina Dilaik’s husband Abhinav Shukla getting death threats after his Battleground ouster: ‘Stop fishing for sympathy’
After Asim Riaz's ouster from Battleground, Rubina Dilaik and family have been receiving nasty comments from his fans.

Television actor Abhinav Shukla has reportedly received a death threat from a social media user who claimed to be part of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The threat follows a verbal argument between his wife, actress Rubina Dilaik, and rapper Asim Riaz on the show Battleground. Soon after the episode aired, Shukla was allegedly targeted online, with the threat mentioning the recent shooting incident at Salman Khan’s house.
According to screenshots and videos shared by Shukla on his X (formerly Twitter) account, the threat message was sent from a profile under the name Ankush Gupta. The message warned Shukla of harm and made a chilling reference to the attack on Salman Khan’s residence. “I’m from Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang. I know your address. Should I come over? Just like Salman Khan was shot at, I’ll come to your house and shoot you with an AK-47,” the message read in Hindi.
“Consider this your final warning. Say anything about Asim, and your name goes on the list. Lawrence Bishnoi stands with Asim,” it further reads. Shukla posted a screen recording of the sender’s Instagram profile and mentioned that the person appeared to be from Chandigarh.
Tagging the Punjab and Chandigarh Police in his post, the actor wrote in his caption: “@DGPPunjab Police @Punjab Policelnd @DgpChdPolice @ChdPol – The person seems to be from Chandigarh or Mohali. Kindly take immediate and strict action. If anyone can identify this individual, please report them.”
Following the accusations from Abhinav Shukla, Asim Riaz reacted to this claim of death threats. He even accused Abhinav of gaining sympathy on his account. Asim wrote on his Instagram stories, “Four judges were having a real conversation… who even called you to jump in? Stop poking your nose everywhere trying to play the hero-this isn’t some WhatsApp group drama. People like you only speak up when someone else’s name brings you relevance. This wasn’t your scene, but you forced an entry like you mattered. And stop fishing for sympathy from fake comments from fake IDs. This is the internet- anyone can type anything. Stand tall or stay silent.”

He further added, “Now, about fitness-only a man who’s never lifted will cry ‘steroids’ when someone shows up built differently. I built this body, this name, this attitude-brick by brick, rep by rep. You call it substances, I call it substance. I don’t need sympathy – I need space to dominate, and you stay in your lane.”
