Ashneer Grover recalls when wife Madhuri’s father forced them apart, spoke to her in front of Satya Paul: ‘His ego was hurt’

Madhuri recalled that the day her father confronted her about it, she was at her workplace. At the time, she was working under Satya Paul. “He came to my office. I used to work with Satya Paul, the person the brand is named after. He was a little aged and he was also looking at me like I had done something wrong,” she recalled.

Madhuri shared that her father made her call Ashneer and the phone call left him quite upset. Madhuri said that her father was severely disappointed because she had kept the truth from him. “His ego was hurt that she didn’t tell him,” Ashneer said. Of the many things that Madhuri’s father told Ashneer, he also mentioned that he should be focusing on his studies since he was from IIT. Madhuri did not return to Delhi until Ashneer started studying at IIM Ahmedabad.

Ashneer and Madhuri met when they were preparing for CAT examination and were still studying in college.
