Ankita Lokhande has opened up on why she brings up the late actor and her former boyfriend, Sushant Singh Rajput in her conversations with fellow Bigg Boss 17 contestants. In a press conference, that took place inside the Bigg Boss 17 house on Saturday, Ankita, while responding to a media query, said that she can speak about the late actor because she feels very proud of him.
She also shared that her fellow BB17 contestant and finalist, Abhishek Kumar had told her that he wants to be like Sushant. She said, “No, it is nothing like that. Abhishek and I used to keep talking about Sushant as he considers him his idol and really looks up to him. He wants to be like Sushant and considers him as his inspiration.”
“I’ve always talked only good things about Sushant because I feel if I can tell some good things about him through this platform, why not? Usne acche kaam kiye hain (he has done good work), and I can speak about it because jitna main unke baare mein jaanti hoon (as much as I know about him) and I’ve seen his journey,” she added.
Ankita also said that she was very fond of Sushant and likes to share good things about him. She said, “And I’ve explained the same about him. I feel very proud to talk about Sushant wherever I am and there is nothing wrong in talking about Sushant. I am talking only about the good things which I know about him. I feel it is absolutely fine because jitna main Sushant ko jaanti hoon shayad koi nahi jaanta (nobody else knows Sushant as much as I know him). And if there is a young boy who wants to be like him, I will definitely talk to him or anybody else.”
Ankita’s mother-in-law Ranjana Jain and husband Vicky Jain, among others, have said that the Pavitra Rishta star keeps talking about SSR to gain the sympathy of the viewers. Ankita’s mother had also advised her not to talk about Sushant a lot as Vicky’s family might not like it.
Ankita and Sushant dated for over half a decade before breaking up. Sushant died by suicide in 2020.
