Thangalaan trailer: Vikram leads the original KGF story that’s way more violent than the Yash-starrer
Thangalaan trailer: Vikram-starrer film, directed by Pa Ranjith, is set 200 years ago when Britishers discovered the Kolar Gold Fields (KGF).

The trailer of Vikram starrer Thangalaan, directed by Pa Ranjith, released on Wednesday and it gives a glimpse into the world of the period film. The trailer opens in a land which is inhabited by tribals and wild animals. When a British officer lands there in search of gold, the villagers are given the task to find that gold.
The legend of land says that “seeking gold here is seeking death.” The stories of monsters that haunt the land spread like wildfire as the villagers have to face calamities but the British officer doesn’t back off. Vikram’s character believes that it is a sorceress named Aarathi, played by Malavika Mohanan, who is creating chaos and takes it upon himself to fight her. The trailer doesn’t shy away from declaring Thangalaan a violent film that is not for the faint hearted. At one point, Vikram’s character can be seen fighting a black panther and engaging in combat with his fellow villagers.
