Shah Rukh Khan is back with another round of #AskSRK on Twitter, days after he shared Jawan's prevue. The Bollywood star put out a disclaimer that he won't be giving away too much about the film, but will answer a few questions. Like always, fans flooded the micro-blogging site with questions and many were about the all-South crew of Jawan. SRK was asked about working with the film's director Atlee, who is making his debut in Hindi. The actor said, "Atlee is just too too cool. Hard-working and with a one-point agenda to make me look good in the film. He is superb. I wish him and Priya and Meer the best in life (sic)." Atlee is just too too cool. I wish him and Priya and Meer the best in life. #Jawan — Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) July 13, 2023 One of the highlights of Jawan's prevue is Shah Rukh dancing to the classic number 'Beqarar Karke Hume Yun Na Jaiye' from Bees Saal Baad (1962). When a fan noted that it was his favourite moment in the teaser, SRK revealed that Atlee came up with the idea. "The song is Atlee’s idea. I also love it with the dance and all. Too much magic in the idea I think." Shah Rukh also opened up about working with Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara. He called the Tamil hero a 'mad actor'. Nayan is the sweetest of them all. Too much love and respect. Vijay sir is a ‘mad’ actor in a awesome way. So much to learn from both actually. #Jawan — Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) July 13, 2023 The biggest reveal from the interaction is that SRK has sung in Tamil in Jawan. A fan asked what's something he has done for the first time in the film, and SRK said, "Sing a few lines of a song in Tamil!!! The whole unit was so sweet in Chennai encouraging me to get it right!" Sing a few lines of a song in Tamil!!! The whole unit was so sweet in Chennai encouraging me to get it right! #Jawan — Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) July 13, 2023 Apart from working with an all-South crew for the past two years for Jawan, SRK also shot a significant portion of the film in Chennai. All of this has made SRK a fan of the South. "Right now working with a south unit for two years I am myself a South Fan bro!!" he replied to a fan who asked him to say a few words for the fans from the South. Right now working with an all south unit for two years I am myself a South Fan bro!! #Jawan — Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) July 13, 2023 He also said that he prepped for Jawan by watching a lot of South films. "I watched a lot of films of Atlee. Vijay sir. Allu Arjun ji. Rajni sir. Yash and loads of other stars to understand the language of expression for the world that was being created. And yes then prepped for my own character too. #Jawan," he said. However, this is not the first time SRK has won the hearts of fans down South. Even back in 2000, SRK made news in Tamil Nadu by acting in an important role in Kamal Haasan's Hey Ram. He played the role of a Pathan named Amjad Ali Khan, a close friend of Saket Ram (Kamal). Shah Rukh Khan dubbed his Tamil lines in the film. Recently, Kamal revealed that SRK did the role without getting remuneration. Meanwhile, Jawan will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada on September 7.
