Bison box office collection Day 5: Mari Selvaraj has delivered yet another winner with Bison Kaalamadan, starring Dhruv Vikram in the lead role. Superstar Rajinikanth is the latest in line to review the sports drama. Mari Selvaraj took to his ‘X’ handle to post the personal review of his latest film, quoting the star, “Super, Mari. I watched Bison. The effort and personality you bring to every film amazes me. Congratulations, Mari!” said Rajinikanth about the film

Mari Selvaraj also added his gratitude to Rajinikanth on the warm review and added, “Just like Pariyerum Perumal, Karnan, Maamannan, and Vaazhai, he called me to appreciate my fifth film, Bison (Kaalamaadan). The superstar called me and Ranjith sir on the phone and praised us from the heart. On behalf of myself and my entire film crew, I express my sincere thanks to him,” he wrote on his X handle.”

Bison has already collected Rs 22.10 crores from the domestic market within five days of release. The demand for morning shows is on the lower side with 43.51 % in theatres across Tamil Nadu, with higher occupancy in the latter part of the day, with 69.93 % and 63.77% in the evening and night shows, respectively. Bison is catching up with Pradeep Ranganthan’s romcom Dude, which has racked in a total of Rs 50.55 crores at the end of its fifth day at the box office.

Bison, which tells the trials and tribulations of a kabaddi player from a lower caste, making it in the Indian team, has been receiving great reviews and positive word of mouth for the last few days. The film earned Rs 5.50 crores from the domestic market on day 5 of its release. Bison leads the pack among Mari Selvaraj’s previous films like the Dhanush starrer Karnan which earned Rs 3.10 crores on its fifth day, while previous directorial Maamannan earned Rs 2.9 crores by its fifth day. Bison also features Anupama Parameswaran, Lal, Rajisha Vijayan and Pashupati in other important roles.
