Rajinikanth’s look in Thalaivar 170 revealed in pooja ceremony photos

While production houses try to guard the looks and details of their films as top secret, Lyca Productions seems to be sticking to the traditional method of unveiling the cast, looks, and other details of its upcoming mega-budget film Thalaivar 170 upfront. Earlier, in a series of tweets, the production house revealed the cast of the Rajinikanth-starrer. And now, the pictures from the pooja ceremony on the first day of the shoot are out.

In the photos, Rajinikanth looks young and is seen in a light blue shirt and ivory trousers. He is sporting a white stubble and thick black moustache, a look he has never tried before in his films. Along with Rajinikanth, Manju Warrier, director TJ Gnanavel, and the crew were clicked at the ceremony.

Thalaivar 170 first day shoot. Pooja ceremony of Thalaivar 170

Thalaivar 170 looks like the biggest film ever produced by Lyca Productions in terms of the cast. It features Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for the movie.

TJ Gnanavel, who shot to fame with Suriya’s Jai Bhim, is directing the film, which according to Rajinikanth will be an entertainer with a social message.

The movie is expected to be released next year.

Other than Thalaivar 170, Rajinikanth has a film with Lokesh Kanagaraj in the pipeline. The yet-untitled movie is called Thalaivar 171.
