Rajinikanth, wife Latha attend grandson Ved Krishna’s cricket-themed birthday bash; internet calls it ‘grandpa duties’

Despite a demanding schedule, Rajinikanth has consistently demonstrated his commitment to family, ensuring his presence at family functions, especially grandson Ved Krishna’s birthday parties. The superstar and his wife, Latha, recently attended their Ved’s ninth birthday celebration in Chennai. Ved, the son of Soundarya Rajinikanth and her ex-husband Ashwin Ramkumar, enjoyed a cricket-themed party surrounded by friends and loved ones.

A video capturing precious moments from the birthday bash has been circulating on social media, offering a glimpse into the bash. In the clip, Rajinikanth stands proudly behind Ved, who is dressed in an Indian jersey, as he blows out the candles on his cake. The celebrity couple can also be seen warmly greeting guests, adding a touch of charm to the festivities.

 

Although Soundarya has not officially shared the video, enthusiastic fan pages have eagerly posted it online for followers to enjoy. Soundarya was seen wearing a Chennai Super Kings jersey while her younger son, Veer, wore an Indian jersey.

In 2018, too, Rajinikanth returned from the US to attend Ved’s birthday. Soundarya shared pictures from the intimate birthday party which featured Rajinikanth looking at his grandson as blew the candles on his birthday cake. Latha, actor and son-in-law Dhanush and composer Anirudh Ravichander also attended the birthday party.

Soundarya’s latest project, GANGS – Kuruthi Punal, is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video, featuring Ashok Selvan, Ritika Singh, Eswari Rao, and Nassar in pivotal roles. Soundarya had been working on a web series based on the acclaimed Tamil literary novel Ponniyin Selvan. However, the project was ultimately discontinued for undisclosed reasons.
