Rajinikanth was asked by late actor Raghuvaran to quit fighting in movies, reveals actor’s brother Ramesh: ‘Act as a peacemaker’

He then shared the advice that his late brother gave to the superstar. “My brother told him, ‘Sir, you quit all this fighting in your films. You go and act as a peacemaker by stopping all the fights that take place outside on the streets. This will take you to the next level.’ Rajini sir would then laugh in his trademark style,” he shared.

Raghuvaran passed away in 2008 at the age of 49. One of his last big hits was the 2007 film Sivaji where he starred with Rajinikanth. His film Aatadista released shortly after his death.

In an earlier interview on Koffee with Anu in 2006, Raghuvaran had said that his biggest regret was “becoming an actor.” He had then said, “I would have been happier making a living as a farmer. I would have been content with whatever little earnings I made from selling my harvest. I would have slept looking at my crops, and hoping for rain. I would have kept chickens, sheep, and dogs and fed them. I would have needed just one person to keep me company. That’s life. What we are living is not.”
