Director Vignesh Shivan turned 38 on Monday. The Nanaum Rowdy Dhaan director’s wife, actor Nayanthara, made the day memorable for him by throwing a birthday party with their close friends and celebrities in attendance. Two video clips from the birthday bash are widely shared on social media.
In one of the videos, Vignesh Shivan can be seen jamming with musicians on the hit Tamil song “Venmathi from Minnale.” Vignesh is engrossed in the performance and is later joined by Nayanthara, who looks excited. The couple chose to wear casual outfits for the evening and twinned in white. Actor Sarathkumar, who played the protagonist of Nayanthara’s debut Tamil film Ayya, can be seen enjoying the session.
Vignesh Shivan also cut a cake in the presence of Shankar and Lokesh Kanagaraj, who are among Tamil cinema’s biggest directors currently.
On Monday, Nayanthara shared a few pictures with Vignesh and wrote him a birthday message on social media. “There’s so much that I wanna write about you on this special day but if I start then I don’t think I can stop at JUST a few things !! I am so grateful to you for the Love,” read a part of the note.
On the work front, Vignesh will next helm director-actor Pradeep Ranganathan in a yet-untitled film. The film also stars Nayanthara, marking her third collaboration with Vignesh as an actor after Naanum Rowdy Dhaan and Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal. On the other hand, Nayanthara, who got nationwide exposure with Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, will next be seen in Jayam Ravi’s Iraivan. She also has Test, Ladysuperstar 75, and Mannagatti in the pipeline.
