According to Times of India, Vijay, who formed his political party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) in February 2024, addressed his party members in Tamil Nadu on the occasion of his party’s first anniversary. There, the actor reportedly said that his 69th film, Jana Nayagan will be his final project after which he will quit acting.

Apart from Vijay, the film will also star Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol in important roles. It will also feature Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, among others.

Previously, Vijay was seen in the film GOAT: The Greatest of All Time. However, the film, despite being marketed as the second last film of the actor, failed to earn big at the box office. Mounted on a reported budget of Rs 400 crore, the film earned just Rs 457 crore worldwide.
