Standup comedian and actor Vikkals Vikram is the 18th contestant to join the Vijay Sethupathi–hosted reality show Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9. The intro video in trademark ‘Vikkals’ fashion was the funniest sketch among the lot and set the tone for the light-hearted, fun vibe of his game. Being the sixteenth contestant in the game, Apsara, a trans woman, has been through a hard time in her personal life. “I strongly believe that my way of speaking and appearance will be made normal to the audience watching at home. So I want to remove that stigma through my participation in Bigg Boss.' The model chose the red badge. Apsara also adds, “Red represents equality for me.”

The fifteenth contestant, Subhiksha, who hails from a fishing village, followed in her fisherman father’s footsteps from a young age. The fourteenth contestant of Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9 is Praveen Raj Devasagayam, another passionate cinema aspirant, known for his work in television serials like Kizhakku Vaasal and Eeramana Rojave. The seventh contestant on board Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9 is actor Sabarinathan, who appeared in supporting roles in television shows. "I left my IT job to pursue a career in the media field," says Sabari. The TV serial Vellaikaran turned out to be a major turning point in his career. "I think Bigg Boss will give me the exposure the TV work has not given me till now. I can finally become a member of your family."

Kani Thiru reads out the rule book. The six contestants look puzzled about what to do with the running water tap. “Should we set aside a bucket of water before the next contestant comes in?” one of them asks, as the group debates in confusion.

Actor Kani Thiru, who also participated in Cooku with Comali, is the sixth contestant of Vijay Sethupathi-hosted Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9. She is known for her role in the web series Parachute. Kani also appeared in the film Valli Mayil, sharing screen space with actor Vijay Antony.

The fifth contestant of Vijay Sethupathi-hosted Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9 is aspiring actor and model Tushaar Jayaprakash. 

“I started asking questions that society deemed unspeakable in my shows,” says VJ Parvathy in her intro video. “I want people who have misunderstood me through my videos to think otherwise about me through my time in Big Boss.” Parvathy chooses the red badge. “Seeing you read Periyar and Ambedkar in the video, I knew you would choose red,” says host Vijay Sethupathi. “I am here to survive. I will point out whoever makes mistakes in the house,” adds an animated Parvathy before entering the Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9 house.

The fourth contestant of Vijay Sethupathi-hosted Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9 is VJ Parvathy. 

FJ has chosen the red colour badge. “Everyone sees red as negative, so I thought I would turn that on its head,” says FJ when asked why he picked red. “You have already gone overboard,” declares a surprised host Vijay Sethupathi. “I will let everybody know the meaning of my name, Adisayam, in the house,” declares the contestant. The host seems to be impressed by FJ's energy level and enthusiasm. FJ makes his way into the house. FJ and Diwakar already appear to have found the awkward ‘bro chemistry’ in the house.

The third contestant of Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9 FJ alias Adisayam is here. “I am as much an extrovert as I can be. Hip Hop Tamizha has always been an inspiration for me. Social media influencer “Watermelon Star” Diwakar is the first contestant of Vijay Sethupathi-hosted Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9.

The Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9 house tour has come to an end, and Vijay Sethupathi seems ready to introduce the contestants. “Let the games begin,” announces the host.

Usually, the captain enjoys certain privileges, but this season, he also gets a special bedroom. “This house raises many questions — there are ups and downs,” remarks Vijay Sethupathi as he continues his tour of the house.
