Actor Varalaxmi Sarathkumar married businessman Nicholai Sachdev on July 3 in an extravagant ceremony in Chennai. The couple later hosted a star-studded wedding reception, attended by prominent figures from the South Indian film industry, including Mani Ratnam, AR Rahman, and several political leaders.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and his son Udhayanidhi Stalin extended their congratulations to Varalaxmi and Nicholai. The political family also posed for photos with the newlyweds.

The pre-wedding celebrations kicked off on June 30, with Varalaxmi and Nicholai hosting mehendi and sangeet functions at a luxury hotel in Chennai. The sangeet was attended by close friends and even saw a special appearance by Superstar Rajinikanth. Varalaxmi and her friends performed on Priyanka Chopra’s hit song “Desi Girl,” adding to the festive atmosphere.

The couple got engaged on March 1 in an intimate ceremony. Varalaxmi and Nicholai have known each other for 14 years. Varalaxmi is known for her roles in films like Vikram Vedha, Poda Podi, Hanu-Man, and Sarkar.
