Vinay Pathak who is known for doing off- beat films like ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’ and ‘Bheja Fry’ will be doing a children’s film called ‘Chidiya’. Interestingly, this is the actor’s first film based on children.
Helmed by debutant director Mehran Amrohi, ‘Chidiya’ revolves around the story of children between the age group of seven and eight years living in a chawl and talks about their dreams.
On being quizzed about what prompted him to take up the film, the actor said, “In my opinion, every actor should work in at least in one such film. Working with children and on a story based on them, is challenging and I always wanted to take up such a challenge.”
“The story idea is sensitive and interest- ing and is relevant to every child around the world. It is a character that I have never played before.”
