The action reality show will be hosted by Rohit Shetty
The latest edition of Khatron Ke Khiladi, which will be hosted by film-maker Rohit Shetty, is expected to kick-start in the next one-two months, but as of now, the production house is in the process of finalising celebrity contestants for it. The only name finalised upto now is actress Mugdha Godse. Others who’ve been approached for the show is Dayanand Shetty (Daya of CID), Pooja Gor, Gauahar Khan, Kushal Tandon, Mahi Vijj among others. Reportedly, choreographer duo Bosco-Caesar too have been approached for the show, which is going to be shot in South Africa.
The earlier seasons of the show with Akshay Kumar proved to be a huge hit, while the one hosted by Priyanka Chopra received a lukewarm response despite the buzz. We’ll have to wait and see what the response action specialist Shetty evokes as the host of the new season.
Buzz is…
Will Viraf Patel stay or quit?
A few days back, actor Viraf Patel, who is presently seen in Life OK’s show Ek Boond Ishq, had announced that he wants to quit the show. When the channel asked the actor about this decision, he expressed dissatisfaction with his role and the content. News is that the producers and the channel are trying to convince Patel to not quit the show, but are also keeping their options open. They have apparently zeroed in on actors Karan Wahi or Mohit Sehgal, who is currently seen in Zee TV’s Qubool Hai, to replace Patel in case he decides to leave the show. The question though is: Will Patel quit or no?
Ananya Khare, Prashant Chawla to enter Rangrasiya

The Sanaya Irani- Ashish Sharma (Parvati and Rudra in the serial) starrer will have Khare playing the shrewd and arrogant Mohini Rawat, who is Rudra’s aunt in the show. On the other hand, actor Prashant Chawla, who was seen in John Abraham starrer, film Jhootha Hi Sahi, and few other TV shows, will be seen as Rudra’s cousin and Mohini Rawat’s son in the show. Their characters shall be introduced in the show shortly.
The recently launched Rangrasiya is a passionate love-hate tale that follows a village girl Parvati. While Parvati strongly believes in love, Rudra hates anyone who invests in that emotion. The show has been shot extensively across arid terrains and rann of Jaisalmer and dunes of Jodhpur.
Shilpa Shinde turns hep in new serial
Plays a Christian girl on Sab TV’s Lapataganj
Actress Shilpa Shinde, who was last seen on Sab TV’s show Chidiya Ghar, shall be seen on the channel’s other show Lapataganj – Ek Baar Phir. She’ll be seen as a urban Christian girl in the show, and this is a first for her, a break from her traditional roles in the past. Elaborating on Mary D’Mello, the character that she plays in the show, she says, “I am happy and excited to be part of SAB TV once again. My character Mary is similar to that of a modern urban woman of today. With a positive approach towards life and filled with energy, she knows her traditional values. I have many friends who are Catholics. I have observed them very closely. It was easy for me to get into the character and get my dialect and the tone quickly.”
