It was in 1994 that she got crowned Miss World. Since then Aishwarya Rai has been known as one of the most beautiful women in the world. And now in a recent poll of the world’s most beautiful women conducted by Hollywood Buzz, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made it to the fourth position, with Hollywood beauties like Monica Belluci, Kate Upton and Angelina Jolie before her. The survey was conducted with the votes sent in by four million people selecting the most intelligent, desirable and successful women in 2013-14.
A thrilled Mrs Bachchan had this to say, “The results of this poll by Hollywood Buzz was brought to my notice by my well-wishers whatsapping me believe it or not… and I must admit it is overwhelming to know that over four million people across the globe have voted and listed me amongst their top choices with such beautiful and talented women.. :) I say a HUGE LOVING THANK YOU to ALL my well-wishers (fans) for making me smile and always being there for me…More power to our love”.

Fan encounter

Varun Dhawan may be just one film old, but the young actor already has a big fan following around the world. Recently a fan came all the way from Ukraine to meet him. Nastya does not understand English. When she met her favourite hero, he was shooting for an advertisement and there were some people with her who worked as translators. All Nastya could say was ‘I love you’, thus embarrassing Varun who was even surprised to see that she had pictures of him from promotions, advertisements, film material. She even brought him some chocolates and a local dress – striped shirt and pants for the actor.

A foodie’s delight

The life of a model and an actor is not an easy one as it is believed that they practically starve to remain in shape. But Vaani Kapoor belies that notion. Nothing can stop the lissome Shuddh Desi Romance heroine from going on a binge. When asked what her favourite food is, pat came the reply, “I enjoy eating practically everything. I have my favourites in every cuisine. I love sushi, butter chicken, Indian-Chinese food, Mysore masala dosa, samosas. Momos are my comfort food. I don’t cook but I am a foodie.” Who’d believe that looking at her svelte figure!
