Other actresses who have also sung for their films include Shraddha Kapoor who lent her voice for both Haider and Ek Villain and Alia Bhatt who had sung for Highway. Next in line is Priyanka Chopra who not only has an independent album to her credit, In My City, but will this time be crooning the title track in Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do.
“The title track has been inserted at the end of the film and is a peppy number with a very playful vibe to it,” said a reliable source who refrained from divulging other details about the song. While DDD is scheduled to release in May, Chopra has already recorded the song. The track has been composed by Shankar- Ehsaan- Loy.
Chopra in fact, in her last outing, Mary Kom had sung a small portion of a lullaby that featured in the movie. As far as her international singing career is concerned, she received an applause for her album Exotic that also saw the popular American rapper, Pitbull, accompanying her.
