The music launch of actor Mrinal Kulkarni’s second directorial venture Rama-Madhav was held recently at Savarkar Smarak, Mumbai. Songs written by the late Sudhir Moghe and composed by the late Anand Modak, were the highlights of programme. Recorded by Video Palace, the music launch took place at the hands of Vijay Kondke, Chairman, Akhil Bharatiya Chitrapat Mahamandal. Lyricist Vaibhav Joshi and composer Narendra Bhide recalled the songs associated with Moghe and Modak, both of whom passed away this year. The cast attended the event dressed in Peshwa-era attire. While Hamama re pora, a composition by Saint Dnyaneshwar, is sung by Sharayu Date and Arya Ambekar, Zunuk zunuk is rendered by Medha Paranjape. Lut liyo mohe Shyam, a mujra that features Aditi Rao Hydari, is sung by Madhura Datar.
Vishakha Singh in Washington
Actress Vishakha Singh, who was seen in the Hindi film Fukrey was the guest of honour at the Greater Washington Telugu Cultural Sangam’s 40th Anniversary celebrations recently. The event was held by the Telugu community based in Washington. Her Telugu film, Rowdy Fellow, hits the theatres in October. Meanwhile the actress will be seen dancing to a song sung by Shreya Ghosal in a Tamil film Oor Oorula Rendu Raja. Shot extensively at Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu, the song is choreographed by Brinda.
