Mishti busy shooting for Telugu film

The Kolkata-born Hindi film actress Mishti Chakraborty is presently in Hyderabad shooting for a Telugu film. The yet-to-be titled film is directed by Karunakaran and has Nithin Reddy starring opposite her.
Mishti, who shot into the limelight after Kaanchi, Subhash Ghai’s last film— though she has a few Bengali films to her credit, says, she took up the project because, “I really liked the script as the girl has a strong character. I felt it was apt for me. Language was definitely an issue, but I was told that it would not be very difficult to learn it. Hence with the permission of Mukta Arts, I signed the film. I have a three-film deal with them but I am open to outside projects ,” said the light-eyed actress adding that another reason for taking up the film is that she had heard a lot about the director and his prowess for portraying his heroines beautifully. “I am happy to be working with him. I got to learn a lot from him,” she said. The film took off on June 2 in Hyderabad. The unit will fly to Europe for a long spell.
Nithin Reddy, she says, is a good actor. “I had heard a lot about him before I took up the film. So it was a good opportunity for me to work with an actor like him. They are all very professional people over here,” states the actor.
Though Mishti is liking it there and is willing to sign more projects, she says, “Bollywood is my main focus, but if a good script comes up like this one, I shall take it.”
