That singer-composer A.R. Rahman lets his work speak for himself is well known. The maestro if he could help it would prefer to stay away from the media glare and instead concentrate on belting out memorable tunes.
But, when he steps on the podium, one can be sure that he is greeted with an avalanche of questions. At a recent song launch of his forthcoming film I, there was a small stampede with scribes rushing to get a quote from him.
When we asked him what distinguished the soundtrack of I from his other compositions, he countered it with a “You tell me?”
