Aditi Rao Hydari has been cast opposite Farhan Akhtar in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s production to be helmed by Bejoy Nambiar. The news was confirmed by a reliable source.

The film is reportedly an intense drama and the story has been penned by Chopra. The untitled movie is likely to take off in December this year.

Interestingly, Amitabh Bachchan plays a bed-ridden chess master in the film. Meanwhile Rao is also in talks with Kalpana Lajmi for the biopic the film-maker is making on her partner Bhupen Hazarika for which Rao has been approached to play Lajmi.

Presently, however, the actress is in the process of wrapping up Subhash Kapoor’s Guddu Rangeela in which she plays a deaf and mute girl. She has already wrapped up her work in Manish Jha’s ‘The Legend Of Michael Mishra’, and more recently she has come on board the Marathi film Ramaa

Madhav, helmed by Mrinal Kulkarni in which she will be doing a special classical number.
