I was totally surprised when the name of my film was called. Now I have begun feeling proud of myself for having made Balak Palak. However, I did not expect to win because my film was pitted against Duniyadari, which was commercially a huge success. But the Screen jury took a wise decision to announce a tie. — Uttang Thakur (Balak Palak, producer)

It is an amazing feeling to have won a Screen trophy and that too for my first film, which began as my dream project. I cherish the trophy and have made a special place for it on a shelf in my office. I love the diamond that is adorning the trophy and among all the trophies that Duniyadari has won so far, the Screen trophy is the best, I must say. The golden lady is really beautiful. In fact, I was expecting two awards for the film — Best Film and Best Director but nevertheless, Balak Palak was also a well-made film. In this category, it was a tie and both are well-deserving films.  — Nanubhai Jaisinghani (Duniyadari, presenter)
