Trisha Krishnan to get engaged to beau Varun this month, announces her engagement on Twitter

To my fans n friends from d media,I will be getting engaged to Varun on the 23 of Jan in a very private ceremony between our families

Trisha, who was earlier reported to be dating fellow actor Rana Daggubati, has been in a relationship with entrepreneur Varun Manian for a few months now. He recently started the Tamil film production company Radiance Media Group. Trisha also urged fans about not making assumptions about her wedding date.

Pls dont speculate about my wedding date as we have not fixed it as yet. And as always you will hear it from me first when we do.

The actress also clarified that she will very much continue to be a part of the film industry even after tying the knot.

I have no intentions of quitting films.Infact will be signing two new films soon and looking forward to four of my releases in 2015.

Trisha entered the south film industry after winning the Miss Madras contest in 1999. Some of her successful films include ‘Saamy’ and ‘Ghilli’. She also won the South Filmfare Best Actress Award for her role in Telugu film, ‘Varsham’.

Her next release is Gautham Menon’s ‘Yennai Arindhaal’, along with Ajith Kumar, Arun Vijay and Anushka Shetty. The Tamil action flick, featured in the Behindwoods list of the ‘Top 10 most Anticipated films of 2014’. It will release on January 29, this year.

Trisha has also tried her hand in Bollywood and was seen opposite Akshay Kumar in Priyadarshan’s ‘Khatta Meetha.’
