Thoppil Joppan’s new teaser is high on Mammootty’s achayan swag, watch video

Actress Mamtha Mohandas and Andrea Jeremiah play Mammootty’s love interests at different stages of his life in the film. It also stars Salim Kumar, Mohan Jose, Saju Navodaya, Harisree Ashokan and Renji Panicker, among others in pivotal roles.

Thoppli Joppan is expected to end Mammootty’s unsuccessful streak at the box office which he faced in his last two outings, White and Kasaba.

Playing an achayan, a colloquial expression for the male members of the Saint Thomas Christians in Kerala, has worked for Mammootty in the past. Actually, he thrives on such roles. He had played an achayan in his super hit films like Kottayam Kunjachan, Nasrani and Kizhakkan Pathrose.

The film’s audio was released in Kochi recently, where Mammootty assured his fans that the upcoming film will be an all-round entertainer and will be enjoyed by moviegoers of all age groups

Thoppil Joppan is directed by Johny Antony. Previously, he had helmed Thuruppugulan, Ee Pattanathil Bhootham and Thappana, all having Mammootty in the lead. The film is bankrolled by SN Group and has music by Vidyasagar.
