Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming Tamil gangster drama “Kabali” will hit the marquee on July 1, a source said.

“The film was earlier slated to release in June. It has been now pushed to July 1. The makers had also planned to release on July 7 but have advanced the release to avoid a clash with Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS.

Directed by Pa. Ranjith, “Kabali” is the story of the rise of a gangster from rags-to-riches.
