Iru Murugan teaser: Vikram, Nayanthara film leaves us curious

The teaser showed no glimpse of Vikram, Nayanthara or Nithya Menen who are a part of this film.

The 14-second teaser managed to arouse a lot of curosity and gained enough viewership.

On Friday the makers of Iru Mugan released the film’s teaser. Iru Mugan is an upcoming southern film from Tamil Nadu, written and directed by Anand Shankar. The film stars well-known popular south Indian stars like Vikram, Nayanthara and Nithya Menen in the lead roles but the teaser showed glimpses of none. The music of the film will be done by Harris Jayaraj.

The video of the teaser shows a person taking off his/her mask. As the teaser failed to show the face of the man/woman hiding behind the mask therefore even the gender of the character in the film was left undetermined. However. the 14-second teaser managed to arouse a lot of curosity and gained enough viewership.

A Times Of India report suggested that Vikram will be doing a double role in the film. He will be playing a RAW agent and a transgender character.

The film was first announced in October 2014 by producer S.Thanu. The teaser of Iru Mugan failed to give any sign of which actor has taken on which role. It did not deliver any kind of dialogues hence speculation was difficult to come up with about the structure of the film.
Reportedly Ananda Shankar had gone to Malaysia to scour locations that would synchronise with the demand of the script. It’s too early to comment on the structure of the film, going by the fact that hardly anything was revealed in the 14-second glimpse of the film’s teaser.
