Director Ram Gopal Varma and crew on Friday decided to remove a controversial song from Vangaveeti after High Court issued notices to RGV and film’s producer Dasari Kiran Kumar and directed the Censor Board not to issue the censor certificate until the case is resolved. The director and the producer jointly issued a statement that they have clipped the Kamma Kapu song that could allegedly incite communal tension.

Meanwhile, the HC has also dismissed the case on Vangaveeti as the makers gave an undertaking in the court stating that they are willing and are ready to remove the controversial song. Upon hearing all the arguments, the judge is said to have disposed off the matter.
Ram Gopal Varma’s next political thriller Vangaveeti is all set to hit the screens on December 23. After presenting Paritala Ravi’s story as Rakta Charitra, RGV is bringing another political, gang war and a crime-based story about Vijayawada’s politician-cum-factionist Vangaveeti Ranga.
The director said he had witnessed many of such events in his life, inspiring him to bring this story to light. “Vangaveeti is my dream film dealing with Vijayawada politics and rowdy gang cultures. I have been a personal witness to many of the happenings in this film,” RGV had said.
He will also be visiting Vijayawada for Vangaveeti audio launch function to be held on December 3 at Koneru Lakshmaiah University Grounds.
