Pop star Miley Cyrus has revealed she and Caitlyn Jenner are friends.

22-year-old Cyrus said they are in regular communication and even laughed at some of the far-fetched rumours that the 65-year-old reality TV star opted transition to gain fame, reported Entertainment Weekly.

“We’ve talked a lot about how you can never make every single person happy. We always laugh about people saying she transitioned to be famous. Which is crazy. Caitlyn has to tell her story, because if she doesn’t, everyone else is going to tell it for her,” Cyrus said.

In June, Cyrus- who is dating Victoria’s Secret Angel Stella Maxwell – raised USD 69,000 for AIDS research when she auctioned three customised ‘Vanity Fair’ covers of Caitlyn.

The “Wrecking Ball” hitmaker tweeted her support back in April during Jenner’s ground-breaking interview with Diane Sawyer in which she announced she was transgender to the public.
