Actor Ajay Devgn and singer Yo Yo Honey Singh released a new track from the former's upcoming thriller Raid 2, 'Money Money', amid much fanfare on Tuesday evening. However, this wasn't the first time the duo collaborated. Singh also crooned the popular 'Aata Majhi Satakli' song from another Ajay-led sequel, Singham Returns, in 2014. At the song launch of 'Money Money', Singh recalled how he got merely 24 hours to compose and record 'Aata Majhi Satakli'. Bhushan Kumar, head honcho of T-Series, approached him at the last minute for the promotional song. Singh also featured in the music video alongside the film's lead pair, Ajay and Kareena Kapoor. When the singer turned up four hours late for the shoot, he feared he'd get an earful from Ajay. "Mujhe laga uss din mujhe maar padne waali hai! (I thought I'll get a beating today). But Ajay Devgn sir met me very warmly. I became an even bigger fan than him. I am a fan of not just Ajay Devgn the actor but also Ajay Devgn the human being," he said. Singh added that Bhushan approached him in the eleventh hour for 'Money Money' as well. However, luckily, he got a little above 24 hours to compose and record the song. "On the sets of Raid 2, I came on time (laughs)! Maine apni kaafi galtiyan sudhari hai (I have tried to correct many of my mistakes). I have learned a lot from them (Ajay), especially if you want to have a long run in the industry," said Singh. The music video features Singh alongside Ajay and Jacqueline Fernandez. Raid 2 also features a dance number ‘Nasha’ featuring Tamannaah Bhatia. Helmed by Raj Kumar Gupta, Raid 2 also stars Riteish Deshmukh, Vaani Kapoor, Supriya Pathak, Saurabh Shukla, and Amit Sial among others. It's a sequel to the hit thriller Raid, which was released in 2018 and also starred Saurabh Shukla and Ileana D’Cruz. It was inspired by a real-life raid conducted by the officers of the Income Tax Department in the 1980s. Ileana played Ajay’s wife in the movie. Raid 2 is set to hit theatres on May 1. While the first film starred Kajal Aggarwal opposite Ajay, the sequel introduced Kareena Kapoor as Ajay's wife. A threequel, Singham Again, released 10 years after the sequel last year. It also featured Arjun Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Tiger Shroff. The Singham franchise has been helmed by Rohit Shetty.
