Diljit Dosanjh’s Rs 1.2 crore diamond-encrusted watch on The Tonight Show is a showstopper, fans say ‘his style is lit’

Diljit Dosanjh's recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, has taken the social media by storm, however, what also stole the spotlight was the singer-actor's diamond-encrusted luxury watch.

Diljit Dosanjh showed it and how! It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to call the year 2024 the ‘year of Diljit Dosanjh’. From the success of Amar Singh Chamkila to creating history in Vancouver with a sold-out stadium show at BC Place to a crowd of 54,000 people — making it the largest-ever Punjabi music concert outside of India — and now marking his debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the singer-actor, has become a global sensation. While he enjoys international fame with Jimmy Fallon, calling him “the biggest Punjabi artist on the planet”; at heart, Diljit remains the Punjabi boy, who doesn’t forget his roots, even while performing for a global audience.

His sartorial choice, a reflection of his roots, has often captured the hearts of his fans, fashion critics and journalists around the globe and won him praise for staying true to his roots. After sporting a jet-black kurta, paired with a tamba (traditional Punjabi lungi) and a utility vest, followed by another traditional all-white ensemble, at Coachella 2023, and during several other performances at his ongoing Dil-Luminati Tour, Diljit once again won hearts with his all-white kurta and tehmat (Punjabi version of the lungi) during his appearance on The Tonight Show. Diljit also wore a pair of golden baalis (hoops) and a kada. So when a turban-wearing Diljit said “Punjabi Aagaye Oye!” he resonated with millions of Punjabis across the globe, especially those living in small villages of Punjab.

On The Tonight Show, Diljit’s style was deeply rooted in his Punjabi traditions, but it also had elements of funk and luxury. He accessorised his look with a pair of coveted Nike Air Jordan and a shining watch which sparkled and dazzled as he performed on the show. Even in the backstage videos, posted online, where the Jatt & Juliet actor is seen sharing some fun moments with Fallon, one can’t take their eyes off his luxurious Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding watch.

According to a report by Times Now, the watch costs a whopping Rs 1.2 crore! The watch made with a stainless steel bracelet with 18-carat rose gold links and a fixed 18-carat rose gold bezel, features a silver dial with rose gold-tone hands and index hour. What makes this watch even more special is Diljit’s personal touch, who got it completely iced out with diamond encrusts. According to the Instagram handle, Diet Sabya, the watch has been customised by Jain jewellers.

The 40-year-old is considered one of the best-dressed male celebrities in India and often makes head turns with his fashionable choices. A sneakerhead, Diljit often adds a Western touch to his desi look with sneakers from his collection of brands like Balenciaga, Gucci, and Off-White.

The recent backstage videos of Diljit and Fallon have been garnering a lot of attention and love from fans. In one of the footage, Fallon nailed, “Sat Sri Akal,” while in another, he told Diljit, “Please come back.” The two were also seen swapping their gloves with each other.
