Diljit Dosanjh shares BTS moments with Ed Sheeran from Mumbai concert, calls him a ‘beautiful soul’. Watch
Diljit Dosanjh and Ed Sheeran collaborated on stage for the first time at the British singer's recently held concert in Mumbai.

Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh and British singer Ed Sheeran got the crowd grooving at Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse ground at a recent live concert. After the electrifying performance, Diljit has now posted some behind-the-stage pictures and videos highlighting the camaraderie between himself and Ed, and giving a peek inside how the massive collaboration was pulled off.
Diljit performed several tracks with Ed Sheeran at the latter’s India concert, including the hit Punjabi song “Lover”. In Diljit’s latest post, he shared pictures from their stage rehearsals, in addition to some images of the concert itself. He wrote in his caption, “@teddysphotos – Learnt so Much From such a Beautiful Soul.”

In another video shared by Diljit, the audience can be seen reacting with surprise at Diljit’s sudden appearance. In the video, a female fan says, “Humko to pata hi nahi tha ki Diljit aane wala hai, aisa lag raha tha ki chand utar ke aa gaya hai zameen pe! (We didn’t know Diljit is going to come. It felt like the moon has descended on Earth).”

Several other videos have been doing the rounds online. At the show, Ed Sheeran also sang in Punjabi with the “GOAT” hitmaker, and also performed on stage with Armaan Malik, with whom he earlier collaborated on the 2022 track “2Step”.
In an interview with Brut India, Ed Sheeran had praised Diljit’s music. He said, “I have listened to a lot of Diljit Dosanjh. I think he is great. I love Armaan, obviously having worked with him. And I think King has made some really exciting stuff.” The singer also expressed his interest in collaborating with King.
Ed Sheeran, who is currently on his ‘+ – = / x’ tour, returned to India for the third time after his 2017 Divine Tour and a concert in 2015. He will be covering Asia and Europe in 2024. The singer was welcomed in Mumbai by Bollywood celebrities. Actor-comedian Kapil Sharma and filmmaker Farah Khan Kunder hosted dinners for the musician, where several Bollywood actors partied with him and posted pictures on social media.
In another viral post, Ed Sheeran was seen doing Shah Rukh Khan’s signature step, with the superstar teaching him the nuances of it. The video was shot by Farah Khan.
