Mrunal Thakur calls Dulquer Salmaan her favourite co-star: ‘He is my inspiration, guide, friend…’

This is not the first time Mrunal Thakur has come out with praise for Dulquer Salmaan. Back in 2023, during his birthday, Thakur took to social media to appreciate and thank Salmaan. She wrote, “I can’t thank the makers of Sita Ramam enough for introducing me to this super grounded, super humble, super talented, superstar! You are my inspiration in many ways and I’ve learnt so much from you. Thank you for introducing me to Malayalam songs, thank you for helping me overcome my fear of learning new languages, and thank you for making my first Telugu film so special. Wishing you a very very happy birthday @dqsalmaan! Thank you for all the memories…here’s to the ones we are yet to make (sic).”

Similarly, while promoting his indie song at a promo event, the Malayalam actor was asked to choose his favourite actor between Mrunal Thakur and Nithya Menen, and the actor quickly picked Thakur surprising all his fans as he has worked more with Menen. The on-screen pair has a separate fanbase, and Salmaan revealed they will return again for something special. In an interview with Pinkvilla, he said, “I think we should definitely come together for something that is also very timeless. Sometimes, when you do something like a Sita Ramam, you should not dilute that by doing something mediocre. I keep telling her that we should wait for something really special.”
