Mohanlal himself confirmed that filming for L360 officially commenced on Monday. The first photo in his post shows Mohanlal and Shobana sharing a handshake, evoking memories of their many memorable on-screen collaborations.

Mohanlal and Shobana, one of the most beloved on-screen couples in Malayalam cinema, are teaming up once again after a 15-year hiatus. Recently, Shobana herself took to social media to announce that she has joined the cast of the project tentatively titled L360.

Now, Mohanlal has confirmed that filming for the project officially commenced on Monday. Sharing photos from the puja ceremony held on Monday, the Malayalam superstar wrote, “On the set, joining in prayers as we commence filming the project led by director Tharun Moorthy. I express my deepest gratitude and seek your blessings as I embark on my 360th film venture.” The first photo in the post, comprising a total of four pictures, depicts Mohanlal and Shobana sharing a handshake, evoking memories of their many memorable on-screen collaborations.

The last time these two veteran actors worked together was in 2009 in Amal Neerad’s Sagar alias Jacky Reloaded, although they weren’t paired romantically. Mambazhakkalam (2004), directed by Joshiy, marked their last romantic pairing. Having appeared together in over 50 films, including notable ones like Nadodikattu (1987), Minnaram (1994), Manichitrathazhu (1993), Thenmavin Kombath (1994), Pakshe (1994), Maya Mayuram (1993), Ulladakkam (1991), Vellanakalude Naadu (1988), Pavithram (1994), and TP Balagopalan MA (1986), Mohanlal and Shobana continue to be the most iconic on-screen duo in Malayalam cinema’s history.

Directed by Tharun Moorthy, known for Operation Java and Saudi Vellakka, the film is scripted by KR Sunil and Tharun himself, with production handled by M Renjith under Rejaputhra Visual Media. Mohanlal was last seen in Lijo Jose Pellissery’s Malaikottai Vaaliban, which emerged as a box office bomb.
