The trailer of Tovino Thomas' highly-anticipated Adrishya Jalakangal (Invisible Windows) has arrived, and the promo emphasises that, akin to Dr Biju's other films, this one too will explore an unfathomed theme in a grounded manner. The 180-second-long trailer begins by showcasing Tovino in a never-seen-before avatar and swiftly establishes his character's unique ability to communicate with the dead. It also highlights that the only person who interacts with him normally is the character played by Nimisha Sajayan. As the video progresses, it unveils that the film is set against the backdrop of an impending war but with a touch of surrealism, marking a departure from Dr Biju's usual style. Additionally, the director has employed a robust background score, suggesting that the film promises a distinctive experience for viewers. "Adrishya Jalakangal is an anti-war film with a layered structure and surrealistic treatment and is set in an imaginary space. The script is strongly socially driven and touches on many different aspects and elements of society related to the notion of war," Dr Biju told Variety last year. Watch Adrishya Jalakangal (Invisible Windows) trailer here: "The film intensely explores many emotions and situations like life, death, fear, hope, helplessness, love, hate, dreams, and sanity, particularly focusing on those neglected by a deeply divided and hierarchical society," he added. Talking about Adrishya Jalakangal, Tovino told Variety, "Working with Dr Biju felt long due more than anything else because we had had discussions for a movie together just before the pandemic struck. So now when it happened, I felt it was in the waiting – to be part of a Dr Biju movie. I really enjoyed acting through the longer takes and his style of filmmaking. It is a balance I always try to keep in my portfolio; to be part of artsy cinema while the mainstream projects also happen. I try to make each of my characters unique, and this one probably has the most unique nature ever." Adrishya Jalakangal recently premiered at the Tallinn Black Nights International Film Festival in the competition category. The film, also starring Indrans in a key role, will hit Indian screens on November 24. Jointly bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, Tovino Thomas Productions and Ellanar Films, the film's cinematography was handled by Yedhu Radhakrishnan, while its editing was carried out by Davis Manuel. Ricky Kej has composed both the songs and the original score for the movie. Dileep Daz, Pattanam Sha, and Aravind Kr led the production design, makeup, and costume departments, respectively.
