Actor Aparna Vinod parts ways with husband after two years of ‘emotionally draining’ marriage

Actor Aparna Vinod, who rose to fame by playing key roles in the Asif Ali and Indrajith Sukumaran-starrer Malayalam movie Kohinoor (2015) and the Thalapathy Vijay-led Bairavaa (2017), has announced her decision to part ways with her husband Rinilraj PK. In a statement shared on her Instagram stories, Aparna described her marriage as a “difficult phase” and revealed that it had been an “emotionally draining” experience.

“Dear friends & followers, I wanted to share with you that I have recently undergone a significant life change. After much consideration, I’ve decided to end my marriage. It wasn’t an easy choice, but I believe it’s the right one for me to grow and heal,” she stated.

The 28-year-old actor continued, “My marriage had been an emotionally draining and difficult phase of my life, therefore I closed that chapter in order to move forward. “I’m grateful for the love and support I received during this time and am looking forward to embracing the unknown with hope and positivity.”

Aparna and Rinilraj tied the knot in February 2023, following their engagement in October 2022. They exchanged vows on Valentine’s Day in an intimate ceremony attended by close family and friends. Aparna holds a BSc in Psychology from Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies, Kodakara, and later pursued her postgraduate studies in the same field at Presidency College, Chennai.

After making her debut in director Priyanandanan’s Njan Ninnodu Koodeyundu (2015), Aparna went on to appear in films such as Kohinoor and Bairavaa. She was last seen in director Sharran Kumar’s action thriller Naduvan, where she shared the screen with actors Bharath and Gokul Anand.
