Actor Tom Cruise has been promoting the Mission Impossible franchise’s seventh instalment, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. for a few days now as the film is set to hit the theaters on July 12. Recently, the actor stunned his fans in India as he spoke in fluent Hindi.
In a video clip, which is going viral on the internet, an interviewer is seen praising him for doing everything. She says in the video, “Is there anything you cannot do?” while adding that the actor is speaking French in Dead Reckoning. She adds, “While I am hearing speak French, I am like, ‘Oh my gosh, is he going to speak in Hindi with me when I see him?”
On this, the Top Gun star replies, “If you want me to speak in Hindi with you, I will. Let’s try. You give me..” He is then asked to speak, “Namaste, aap kaise hain?” Tom Cruise speaks it so fluently that the interviewer is left floored. Even the social media users were impressed. One of them commented on the video, “Too cute! Best I’ve seen so far!” Another added, “That laugh is classic. Always was, always will be.”
Christopher McQuarrie, who previously directed Rogue Nation and Fallout, has directed Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. He has also directed the sequel, which will release in 2024. The film’s shooting started in 2020, just before the pandemic hit. The shoot was later suspended due to Covid-19. The filming resumed in the latter part of 2020 in UK. Although the filming wrapped in 2021, the release was delayed multiple times due to the pandemic.
