Caitlyn Jenner travelled to Israel as Pride Parade’s guest of honour, but was caught in the middle of rising geopolitical tensions. Israel-Iran conflict escalates

Tensions have peaked in the Middle East over the past day after the Israeli military launched a full-scale attack on Iran’s air defence system. Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, accused Israel of starting the war and declared, “The Iranian nation must be guaranteed that our response will not be half-measured.” He vowed that the country would “inflict heavy blows” on Israel. According to CNN, Israel’s attack on Iran resulted in the death of around 78 people, including senior military officials. Around 320 people were left injured, and the underground nuclear site at Natanz is reported to have been impacted because of the strike.

Meanwhile, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has taken shelter in a bunker alongside Defence Minister Israel Katz. More explosions were heard in Jerusalem on Saturday morning (India time) “An additional barrage of missiles was launched toward the State of Israel,” Israel’s defence force said in a statement.
