South Korean rappers accuse ‘The Interview’ of lifting song

Husband and wife, Tiger JK and Yoon Mi Rae, have threatened legal action, alleging that they never gave consent to the use of the song, reported Aceshowbiz.

“There were initial discussions about including the song in the film score, but negotiations stopped so we were under the impression that it wasn’t happening,” read a statement from the duo’s company FeelGhoodMusic.

“It was only after the film was released that we became aware of the song’s unauthorised use, without taking the appropriate and necessary steps to complete a contract with the artists,” the statement added.

‘The Interview’, which focuses on two TV journalists who are sent to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un, was released in select theatres and digitally.
