The 95th Academy Awards are upon us. The main Oscars ceremony will take place on March 12 at 8 pm in Los Angeles, where a bevy of stars will grace the awards night. However, in India, fans can watch the Oscars early next morning i.e. March 13 IST. India has been nominated in three categories, including RRR competing in the Best Original Song category with Naatu Naatu.

Oscars 2023: When and where to watch

The Oscars ceremony will begin at 5:30 am on Monday morning. The event will be preceded by a red carpet ceremony that lasts for almost one hour. The show will be hosted by late night host Jimmy Kimmel. In India, you can live stream Oscars on Disney+ Hotstar in India.

Academy Awards can be streamed live on social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. Elsewhere, the awards ceremony can be watched on HULU Live TV, Direct TV, FUBO TV, and AT&T TV. There may be a payment component on most of these platforms.

This time around, Indian fans will be watching Oscars with rapt attention, thanks to RRR’s phenomenal reception globally, which has ended up earning it an Oscar nomination in the Best Original Song category for its dance track “Naatu Naatu.” The MM Keeravani composed number will also be performed at the ceremony by artistes Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava.

Besides this, two other Indian features have been nominated in the Best Documentary Short Film category, and Best Documentary Feature — Kartiki Gonsalves’ The Elephant Whisperers, and Shaunak Sen’s All That Breathes. Other main attraction of Oscars 2023 will be Bollywood star Deepika Padukone, who, along with a bunch of other A-list celebrities, was recently announced as one of the Oscar presenters. Deepika had even shared the happy news on social media with the hashtag of Oscars.

Meanwhile, Everything Everywhere All At Once is leading the nominations list with 11 nods against it. The Banshees of Inisherin and All Quiet on the Western Front have both received nine nominations, while Elvis has bagged eight nominations.
