Mission Impossible The Final Reckoning box office collection day 4: Tom Cruise’s actioner nears Rs 50 cr mark in India
Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning will cross the Rs 50 crore mark in India in just a couple of days, given its current trajectory.

Tom Cruise’s action thriller Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is performing better in India than most recent Indian releases, whether it’s Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh (Hindi), Retro (Tamil) or Hit: The Third Case (Telugu). The film is all set to cross the Rs 50 crore mark in its opening week.
On Tuesday, the film collected Rs 5.5 crore at the Indian box office, a slight dip from its Monday collection of Rs 5.75 crore. The movie earned a major chunk of its revenue during its opening weekend, earning Rs 16.5 crore and Rs 17 crore on Saturday (opening day) and Sunday respectively.
As per industry tracker Sacnilk, the film’s current collection in India stands at Rs 44.75 crore. Given the current trajectory, the film is all set to cross Rs 50 crore over the next couple of days. Of its total box office collection in India so far, the major chunk comes from the original English version, followed by the dubbed versions of Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
On Tuesday, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning registered maximum theatre occupancy in the night shows (28.30%), followed by the evening shows (19.56%), the afternoon shows (16.27%), and the morning shows (7.64%). It earned the maximum in Chennai (40.25%), followed by Kochi (26.50%), Ahmedabad (21.75%), Pune (18.50%), and Mumbai (18%).
While the Tom Cruise-starrer is performing better than most recent Indian releases, it’ll face fresh competition from three new releases this Friday. These include debutant director Karan Sharma’s romantic comedy Bhool Chuk Maaf, Prince Dhiman’s historical action thriller Kesari Veer, and Dean Fleischer Camp’s Disney sci-fi comedy Lilo & Stitch.
Bhool Chuk Maaf may turn out to be its most fierce competitor at the Indian box office. Its producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films and lead actor Rajkummar Rao delivered one of the biggest hits of Indian history last year, with the horror comedy Stree 2, that earned Rs 627.50 crore in India.
Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is the eighth and final instalment of Tom Cruise’s blockbuster action franchise. The Hollywood superstar reprises his fan-favourite spy Ethan Hunt for one final mission in the movie. It opened in India on May 17, six days before its release in the US.
Cruise has portrayed the character of Ethan Hunt since the beginning of the franchise with 1996’s Mission: Impossible. He has followed it up with successful sequels — Mission: Impossible 2 (2000), Mission: Impossible III (2006), Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (2011), Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (2015), Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018), and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning (2023).
Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, the final franchise film is presented by Paramount Pictures and Skydance. It also stars Hayley Atwell, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Pom Klementieff, Angela Bassett, and Hannah Waddingham among others. The SCREEN review of the film stated, “The Final Reckoning is an ode to that Cruise, in its numerous flashbacks to the previous M:I films, underlining the times he saved the world, and just how jaw-droppingly, the sacrifices he made, the people he loved and lost.”
