The Barbie soundtrack might have two Oscar nominations for Best Original Song, but there’s only one singer the film’s  music producer Mark Ronson wants belting out the power ballad I’m Just Ken on the big night — Ryan Gosling. Mark, in an interview with Variety, asserted if Ryan doesn’t sing it, the song won’t be performed at all.

“It’s my dream,” was quoted as saying, expressing his enthusiasm for a Ryan performance, adding, “That would be great. Did he confirm to you? I want to know… it’s my dream. It’s my dream.” When asked about alternative singers, he was adamant: “No. I think if Ryan doesn’t do it then we’re not doing it.”

This adds intrigue to the already nominated I’m Just Ken, which competes against Billie Eilish’s What Was I Made For in the Best Original Song category. Billie’s song previously won a Grammy, beating out other Barbie tracks, including Dua Lipa’s Dance the Night.
