Leonardo DiCaprio almost turned down ‘The Great Gatsby’
<i>The Great Gatsby</i> will be released in theaters on May 10.
Actor Leonardo DiCaprio admits he was not eager to play the lead in The Great Gatsby when he was first offered the role.
“I was reluctant. Because what’s so powerful about this novel is everyone has their own interpretation of these characters.”
If it’s not for director Baz Luhrmann who convinced him to accept the role,38-year-old DiCaprio may have turned it down.
“It’s almost impossible to say ‘no’ to him,” he added.
The Great Gatsby will be released in theaters on May 10.
