After its highly acclaimed premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, Killers of the Flower Moon is poised to hit Indian theatres on October 6. Before the film’s release, the makers have unveiled a second trailer that offers an extended glimpse into the complex relationship between Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio) and William Hale (Robert De Niro) in the film.

The trailer opens with William warmly welcoming war hero Ernest back home. William proceeds to enlighten Ernest about the Osage tribe, who amassed wealth through the discovery of oil on their land and now exert control over it. William motivates Ernest to take part in the conspiracy to take control of the lucrative oil deposits on the land. This extended trailer also provides a deeper look into the romantic connection between Ernest and Millie Kyle (Lily Gladstone) and the subsequent heartbreaking betrayal.

Directed by the renowned Martin Scorsese, who has collaborated with DiCaprio and De Niro on various projects, the film features a screenplay penned by Scorsese himself in collaboration with Eric Roth.

The film also stars Jesse Plemons, Tantoo Cardinal, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins and Jillian Dion.

Killers of the Flower Moon, produced by Apple Studios in conjunction with Imperative Entertainment, Sikelia Productions, and Appian Way. “At the turn of the 20th century, oil brought a fortune to the Osage Nation, who became some of the richest people in the world overnight. The wealth of these Native Americans immediately attracted white interlopers, who manipulated, extorted, and stole as much Osage money as they could before resorting to murder,” read the official description, shared by Apple Studios.
