The “Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom” actor said he has become more “responsible” as an artist after playing leading roles in the films, but misses being a part of an ensemble.

“With growth comes a lot of responsibility. I think one of the tougher things when you go from being a supporting actor to a leading actor is that your process is slightly different.

“You find yourself on your own quite a bit, and when you’re used to an ensemble, that can be a little unsettling. But you’re given a lot more freedom to create in that space, and that’s a gift for any actor. That freedom is why I love what I do.”
