In a truly unscripted moment of family life, Aaryamann Sethi, son of actor and comedian Archana Puran Singh, opened the doors to their Madh Island bungalow through a delightful and surprisingly raw vlog on YouTube. From the start, you can tell this isn’t going to be your typical luxury home tour.
“By the way, yahaan pe saap aate hain kaafi baar. Mud Island mein hota hai yeh. Toh yeh hai hamara chhota sa garden. Doggy doggies yahaan chill karte hain jab koi guest aata hai… kyunki Patch toh kaat-ta hai bhai,” Aaryamann said.
As Aaryamann steps through the kitchen window (yes, literally), he tells viewers:
“Maine kisi ko nahi bola main house tour kar raha hoon. Sirf Bhagyashree ko pata tha, toh woh help kar rahi thi clean karne mein. But baaki kisi ko kuch nahi pata. Toh yeh ekdum unfiltered house tour hai. Properly dikha dete hain aapko.”
And he does. The tour moves into the kitchen: “Actually, aaj kaafi saaf hi lag raha hai? Haan, nahi, saaf hi rehta hai. Itna saaf toh nahi rehta. Haan, aaj kuch zyada hi saaf hai.”
The casual conversation with Bhagyashree, a long-time household help who’s now family, makes it even more real. “Yeh hamara fridge. Doosra fridge. Bhagyashree itna khana khaati hai ki humein do fridge chahiye hote hain.”
The love extends to the elders, too. Viewers are next taken to nani’s room, where Aaryamann respectfully tiptoes in with the camera: “O Nani! Hi! Arre sorry main aise camera le aaya. Sorry,” to which nani says, “You are looking very sweet!”
From here, we meet Dadu, caught enjoying some soan papdi: “Arre Dadu kya chhupke chhupke kya kha rahe ho?”
Aaryamann then addresses a typical comment from fans: “Sab log kehte hain Dadu ka room itna chhota kyun hai? Dadu humare saath lockdown mein rehne aaye the… phir jab humne bola, ‘You know, we can move you to a different room’ — he was already like, ‘Nahi bhai, mujhe toh yahi pasand hai.’”
Each room adds a new layer of personality: a sleepy Ayushmaan gets caught mid-nap, Bhagyashree offers comic relief, and even Archana is surprised: “Mumma kaam kar rahi hai. But hum log toh irritate karenge hi… Dara diya na aapko! Humne surprise house tour kiya hai.”
“Itne saalon se house tour ka wait kar rahe hain log,” Archana says, to which Ayushmann responds: “Content is real. Raw. Kisi ne poocha, maine de diya. Chahe kisi ko farak pade na pade.”
And that’s what makes the video so special. It’s not curated.
